The Food Medicine Project

What is healthy food?

We live in an age of deep confusion about food. Image and diets have given us decades of mis-information, poor information and skewed understanding of what is healthy eating.

For many people ‘healthy food’ means food that helps you loose weight. Many of our notions of what constitutes a healthy diet have come out of the diet industry.

The Food Medicine Project is dedicated to helping to identify sound and appropriate food knowledge that is geared to what is really healthy for our bodies.

The Food Medicine Project aims to find and create ways to link good food knowledge with medical practice; where ever possible to help connect appropriate understanding of food for health together with health care provision.

why are we doing this?

We are in a moment of history when we have reached an acknowledgement that things need to change yet we still end up down at the supermarket buying overpackaged transported irradiated food.

There are so many good projects out there, so many people working for positive and healthy solutions,,, The Food Medicine Project is a connector. Our ambition is to bring together as many voices as we can gather to help develop accessibility.

Don't be shy! if you are involved in something that we should know about please email and add your voice to this project...
