Jani White is a recognised birth doula with Doula UK , and is available for both birth doula support throughout London and for post natal support. Childbirth is at the very heart of Jani´s work and attending labours is her favourite part of this.
Jani brings to her doula practice 20 years of integrated experience in the maternity spheres, first as a mother then as an obstetric acupuncturist and antenatal teacher. She did her Doula training with Michel Odent and Lillianna Lamers. She will always endeavour to support couples in their birth choices and is concerned to promote informed choice and safe practice. Antenatal, Birth Preparation, Labour and Post-partum Care As an obstetric acupuncturist, who also taught the Obstetric and Gynaecology modules of the Brookes University MA Acupuncture degree, Jani has supported hundreds of couples through their antenatal, birth preparation, labour and post-partum care, and has attended many births in hospitals, birthing units, community hospitals and at home. She has a practised for a decade as part of the Birth Company team in the offices of consultant obstetrician Donald Gibb and this has given her a thorough understanding of the processes of obstetrician-led care and a higher exposure to complicated pregnancy. Jani also has many years experience working with women having NHS midwifery care. Jani´s many years´ experience can help you to negotiate the sometimes confusing and sometimes scary world of birth preparation. She is particularly concerned with better post-natal support and care. |
Experienced Antenatal Teacher in London Jani has been running antenatal classes for 8 years, helping couples to prepare to make informed choice that will help to safeguard their birth wishes. She teaches a series of pregnancy classes based in Crouch End, North London, to serve Highgate, Muswell Hill and surrounding areas, which include acupressure for labour classes, both for couples and midwives. |
