Biographical Overview

Stefan Chmelik is a medical visionary and a leading figure in the UK Complementary & Alternative Medicine sector, in which he has been involved at the highest level. He is past-President of the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine, the author of a bestselling book on Chinese medicine and an expert legal witness. He has consulted for both high street retailers and small organic fair trade manufacturers, and is well known in the media representing the world of Chinese medicine.

He is passionate about holistic healthcare, and committed to the development of the profession in the UK. He devotes much of his time to focussing on the regulatory issues that face the profession over the next few years, liaising with the RCHM, ATCM the EHPA and other associated interest groups.

Stefan Chmelik is a specialist healthcare physician and Masters level lecturer of Oriental medicine. He is founder of the New Medicine Group, a team of specialists working together in Harley Street exploring new ways of delivering integrated healthcare; they combine the patient-centred approach of alternative and complementary medicine with the benefits of mainstream medical diagnosis and support.
